ohai! I can haz satizfaksn? Football, ELTE, i-DEAL

This entry will be quite funky. Things of general interest come to my mind instantly, just like the questions of life's ambiguities, such as... If we are clean after having a bath or a shower, why do we have to change our towels on a weekly basis? LoL... And now for something completely different.

Today we had "Műhelymunka" seminar in which the participants are working on an online journal supervised by the DEAL department of ELTE BTK. We discussed, and pretty much fixed the topics for people who were present today. I will be doing a music record review of Thrice's 2009 record called Beggars. The whole CD is awesome in every aspect. The tunes and the lyrics just pown, and strangely enough it is not heavy music. There is just something in Thrice that makes their music unique and needs attention. That is why I have chosen to review and, sort of, advertise their new record. My other topic will be an article about a pub in the area surrounding the university, worth mentioning. I plan to write about Mélypont. I like that place. It has a good atmosphere, socialist era 70's interrior, affordable prices (not particularly cheap though) and all in all a nice place in my opinion to drop in for a drink or two.
Considering the opportunity that the journal will live on after the first issue, I am planning to do a series of articles in this topic. Just like a Pub tour review section.

My last topic will be asking foreign language teachers about how their families celebrate Christmas, considering some of them has Hungarian wives and things like that. The title could be " Szenteste or Boxing Day?" It is just an idea lingering around...not final :)

Apart from things related to ELTE, I just finished watching the Champions League match of DVSC vs. FC Fiorentina. Debrecen scored first. I WENT NUTS! Unbelievable. Too bad Fiorentia is much stronger...The Italians managed to win 3:4. But our guys fought like lions! Debrecen Scored the last goal of the match in the 88. minute making it back to the game from 1:3 to 3:4. The last minutes and the additional time were just thrilling. Thanks Guys!

At this time, my only thoughts are that I am getting pretty sleepy, I still have to write my article summary for the "Fact based journalism" seminar.
So I think this is pretty much it for today.
Thanks!
bye.

  1. The match was really exciting yesterday! I am not a real football fan, but I was glued to the screen! I think it was well done...

  3. Luckily, I had a ticket for the match, so I could watch the guys playing from my seat in the stadium. It was a bit cold, though, but not as cold as it would have been without so many people sitting (or standing) next to each other. :D
